At the Plastic Surgery Institute, our innovative board-certified plastic surgeons have come up with a unique technique for facial rejuvenation: the Beverly Hills O Facelift, or O-Lift.
They have combined the tried and true techniques of the past with cutting-edge innovations. This revolutionary surgery has allowed our doctors to achieve long-lasting, natural-looking facelift results for our patients while getting them back to their daily lives faster.
In 2008, Dr. Andrew Ordon shocked the plastic surgery world on the hit TV show The Doctors with his unveiling of the “O-Lift.” The Beverly Hills O-Lift is a modification of a facelift using a short scar incision. It was born from a need for a faster recovery, lower impact, and less expensive alternative to the full operation.
At the Plastic Surgery Institute in Beverly Hills O-Facelifts have continued to be refined over the years. Today’s modified O-Lift could even be called an “O-Lift+”, because it is an O-Lift plus at least one other minimally or non-invasive procedure to further amplify results without extending recovery times. We found that for some patients, an abbreviated facelift, mini lift, or even an O-Lift were good, but additional procedures can make the results even better. We needed to offer a more impactful result, but not significantly add to the recovery time or expense.

We often combine O-Lifts with CO2 laser resurfacing, fat transfer, facial implants, liquid rhinoplasty, and/or “pinch” blepharoplasty . Any one of these additional procedures will enhance your appearance, but when we do two or more, the “wow” factor is simply stunning.
During your consultation for an O-Lift Beverly Hills aesthetic experts at the Plastic Surgery Institute access to an entire catalog of high-tech, minimally invasive procedures and treatments that can be added to your O-Lift to address your specific needs.
We assess your skin, listen to your concerns, and then turn to this catalog to design your personalized O-Lift experience. Once we have developed your surgical plan, we will give you personalized care instructions on what to do before and after your procedure to maximize the benefits of your O-Lift.
The O-Facelift is an outpatient surgical procedure performed at our resort-style surgery center in Beverly Hills. O-Lift patients usually are not kept overnight but will need to have someone to drive them home following surgery to allow them to focus on recovery.
The O-Lift is a full facelift performed through a modified short scar incision. This incision is tucked into the folds of the ear and along the hairline to minimize its visibility. Once the incisions are made, the skin and musculature beneath the skin are lifted and repositioned to give you a more sculpted appearance. Excess skin is removed, and the incisions are closed with a special surgical glue that holds the skin in a place like stitches but dissolves completely as the wound heals.
Depending on the additional procedures you select during your consultation, they will be performed at the appropriate time during your facelift. By combining these procedures at the same time, we can amplify the results of your surgery without increasing your overall recovery time. At the Plastic Surgery Institute, we pride ourselves on perfection. During your O-Lift, we can also take this opportunity to fix scars, remove unsightly moles or skin lesions, smooth pockmarks or acne blemishes, and generally perfect everything we can treat. The results are transformative, and that is why we have become known as the best O-Facelift Beverly Hills surgeons today.
The recovery times from O-Lift surgery are one of the main reasons why this procedure is so exciting. Typically, facelift patients must reserve two to three weeks of downtime following their procedures to dedicate to recovery. With the O-Lift, we have seen patients go back to their jobs within three to five days of their procedures!
While the recovery is faster than other methods, O-Lift surgery is still an invasive surgery and should be treated as such. You will experience swelling and discomfort following your procedure. It is very important for you to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your doctors to avoid any complications to your recovery. Most O-Lift patients are considered fully recovered within six weeks of their procedures.
The Doctors at the Plastic Surgery Institute love what they do. If you want the highest quality of care from industry leaders who are as approachable as they are professional, you will find a perfect partner for your procedure at the Plastic Surgery Institute in Beverly Hills.

Patient Reviews
Your O-Lift results will be immediately visible when you remove your dressings for the first time following surgery. However, the final results could take as long as 6 weeks to fully settle and become visible.
Once your final results set in, they are considered permanent. However, aging still happens. You will likely notice the signs of aging begin to creep back into the face about a decade after your procedure. There are skincare treatments and lifestyle choices that you can do to maximize the longevity of your O-Lift, and these will be provided to you as part of your care package at The Plastic Surgery Institute.
